Benefit :

After VAT registration you get your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
Tax invoices cannot be issued to other parties without TIN Number.
Dealers get the benefit of input tax credit which is the difference between purchase tax and output tax, which will be set-off against the net tax payable if your sales tax arises in transaction.
Taxability of a registered dealer is lower than an unregistered dealer.
The tax status of your business can be seen on VAT websites by just putting your TIN number wherein you get all the details.
Increases credibility as some businesses prefer dealing with suppliers that are VAT-registered.
Lesser paperwork involved in maintaining accounts of purchases and sale so if your turnover exceeds the threshold limit for registration you must compulsorily register yourself under the vat act,

Registration confers the benefits of taking input credit of taxes paid on purchases. This means that when making the remittance of the output tax payable, such dealers can reduce the input tax and pay only the balance to the State Government.

Registration also entitles the Vendor to pass on the taxes collected as credit to the purchaser.
